Ushering: Ushers pass out bulletins as people come to worship, help people find a seat in the sanctuary if needed, receive the offering, and help pick up the sanctuary following worship. 
Greeting: Greeters welcome those coming to worship as they come through the outside doors into our Gathering space. They are the ones that give visitors the first impression of hospitality in our community of faith. 
Communion Assistant: Help assist in distributing the elements at Holy Communion in worship and blessing those who come forward but do not receive communion. 
Acolyting: An acolyte is one who assists in worship by lighting altar candles and any other candles as necessary as well as receives the offering plates from the ushers. 
Welcome Center Host: Is present at the Welcome Center on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening before and after worship to assist those with questions about the church and its programs as well as help visitors with directions in our facility. The host is also one who will help people sign up for volunteer opportunities. 
Coffee Hour Host: Is one who prepares coffee, water, lemonade and the cookies, donuts, muffins, or cake for the coffee hour following worship. 
Sound Tech: This person oversees the sound-board system and sets up the microphones needed for worship and other occasions, such as funerals and weddings. There is some advance training needed before running any of the sound equipment. 
Children’s Message: Volunteers to deliver a message to the children pre-k through fifth grade during worship based on the lectionary readings or the Sunday school theme of the day. Please consult with the pastor as to which Sunday you wish to give a children’s message.
